Product Description
Pirastro Obligato strings are based on a solid synthetic core material, along with advances in manufacturing techniques, resulting in the true warmth and complex overtones of gut core strings with the stability and quick response of synthetic core strings. Obligato has demonstrated quick break in time, exceptional projection, and unusual durability. For many bassists, Pirastro's Obligato bass strings are the 'hybrid' bass string of choice. These popular bass strings have a solid synthetic core with a very thin chromesteel wrap. They are designed to emulate gut strings and they hit the mark. They have a very smooth surface making them easy on the fingers while still being a dream to bow. Those wanting a traditional bluegrass, old school jazz and blues, or other styles that calls for that sound will enjoy the Obligatos. All Obligato Bass Strings feature a high temperature resistant solid synthetic core wrapped with high-quality chromesteel. These strings are made by hand using modern manufacturing techniques and strict quality control. This is a Pirastro Obligato 3/4 Upright Double Bass Medium Gauge String Set. All strings are Chromesteel Wound Solid Synthetic Core.
